'Wining' about love
I'm getting ready to leave for Italy, there's not much time to write, but I wanted to put down that I love my Kat. She stayed over again last night, sprawled out on my sofa after two movies and drifted off. Undeniably adorable. I'm going to miss her so much while I am in Italy. She wants some Reistling, so at least I know how I'm filling my duty-free.
Been thinking about something Gibson raises in Pattern Recognition, the idea of Europe as a sort of "mirror world." With each bit of the picture just a little different, subtly flipped, even though it makes the same image. Things like different electrical jacks, or which side of the car the driver's seat is on. Little things that define our experience. I can't wait to dive back in.
